Pre-training
The goal for my pre-training is to run 30 minutes without stop. I have done this in the past and it has not been to terribly challenging but something seems different. I can't put my finger on it. I am much slower this year than I have been in the past and it is quite a push to run 20 minutes straight. I am not sure if it is a mind or body thing. Any thoughts?

I would say just hang in there. 95% of the time it is a mind thing. But one thing that may help you is to make sure you are eating enough carbs and drinking enough water. Something that helps me get a kick is if I eat a small bowl of oatmeal about 30 min. before my run the carbs really help me (it may just be a mind thing for me)...or just try a sports drink like poweraid. You could also add some variety to your run or if you run with music, change your list up a bit. Hang in there...you are awesome!
20 minutes? I can't seem to squeeze in two minutes. Working out hasn't been on the top of my to-do list lately, so I can't help you here!
Thanks for your comments. I think I will try the oatmeal thing. My diet definitely needs a little help but I am sure the more running I do the better I will want to eat so I am not pushing that right now.
At least for me it was a mind thing. I told myself to increase it by a minute or two each day. I swear once you get past the 20 minutes, it is easier.
